If your goals are to build muscle and burn fat, try these 10 kettlebell exercises. All you need is one kettlebell. That's why I love kettlebell training. You can build strength, power, muscle, core stability, and conditioning without a full gym. Here are the 11 movements plus what they train. 1. Ballistic Rows. Lats, upper back, rear delts, biceps plus core. Hinge at hips, drive elbow back explosively, control the return. 2. Kneeling Curl + Press. Light up your biceps, your shoulders, and your core with the kneeling curl and press. 3. Clean + Reverse Lunge. Build single leg strength and stability while the clean adds explosive full body power. The more muscle groups that are working equals more calories burned. 4. Goblet Squat. Build stronger quads and glutes while challenging your core and your posture, improving your squat depth and range of motion. 5. Clean + Thruster. In this single movement, we are training almost every single major muscle group in your body. Legs, shoulders, core, and conditioning. 6. Goblet Squat + Halo. We're building our quads and our glutes with the goblet squat while bulletproofing our shoulder mobility and stability with the halo. 7. Burpee Over Kettlebell. You know I had to throw this one in here. Full body coordination, driving your heart rate through the roof. Burpees over kettlebell. 8. American Kettlebell Swings. The American kettlebell swing is an explosive full body movement, bulletproofing your posterior chain, your shoulders, and your core. 9. Thruster. If you did 100 thrusters a day, you'd build cap shoulders, a strong core, and legs that do not quit. An elite full body movement. 10. KB Clean. With the kettlebell clean, we're teaching our body to create force from the ground up. It also trains the thing that goes first as we age: power and explosiveness. 11. KB Swings. The kettlebell Russian swing is a staple in any kettlebell workout or complex. Remember, this is a hinge, not a squat. Snap those hips and squeeze those glutes and let the kettlebell float to shoulder height. If you want to know how I program these exercises into a full week of training, send me a message with the word "Complex" and I'll send you a free week of training.
