This might get me cancelled but I promise I'm saying this from a place of love. The reason why all this discourse about pro-blackness and your personal decisions, particularly in your bedroom, sparks so much discourse is because people are talking about pro-blackness from the assumption of a definition and not the reality of what it is. Pro-blackness by definition is a political and economic ideology. It's not about self-love, it's not about self-love, it's not about being proud to be black. It is a political and economic ideology. And the problem is because people hear pro-black and they think that it is a synonym for proud to be black or loving being black. And when we have conversations about pro-blackness from people who know the definition, people who think that it's a synonym for being proud to be black or loving being black, they get offended because they're hearing something that's not being said because they don't know the definition of what pro-black is. You can be proud to be black, love being black and still make the choices that you make. And by definition, not be pro-black based off the choices that you make. Pro-blackness is a political and economic ideology. That's it. And the problem is people hear pro-black and they think that it is a synonym for proud to be black or loving being black.
