So I'm half Puerto Rican but typically I'm not eating at a restaurant. I'm walking downstairs or at my titi's house. So today, titi's got in the field!!! So we're starting off with some guava and white cheese. This was my favorite snack as a kid and it is still a beloved item as an adult. Then we have some traditional stewed beans with some pork meat. Delicious. And then some pastelón. I've never had pastelón before because my mom doesn't like it, so she's never cooked it. Of course, we have some chuletas, which is my favorite. Y'all say you don't eat pork, I'm just silent because I don't know nothing about that lifestyle. Anyway, here's my beautiful plate. I also have some potato salad. And then we have this homemade traditional Puerto Rican sponge cake with guava cream in the middle. I believe it's called bizcocho de guayaba, but I could be wrong. So many foods I don't know the name of in English. And so many foods I don't know the name of in Spanish. Look how beautiful. This was all made from scratch.
