Why it worked

The video uses a relatable and humorous scenario of pet owners competing for their pet's affection, combined with the clear demonstration of a popular product (Temptations treats) that appeals to pet owners.

Product placement

Temptations (cat treats): ACTS - The video shows two bags of Temptations treats and the creators use them to get the cats' attention and feed them. Removing the treats would change the core action of the video. Temptations (cat treats): APPEARS - A watermark/logo appears in the top left corner of the screen. Removing it would not change the video's content.
