AMERICA WANTED TO

America wanted to dictate who Canada could do trade with. Say that we with America or reduce trade to other countries. And that was big reasons that Canada walked away from the table. Lot of other were trying to including use of our French language. But the trade one, not being able to have countries, yeah, that was deal. And America doesn't have the right to tell Canada what we're gonna do. Other concerns that they had were things like our net zero policies, our environmental policies within our own, they were taking issues with, with the C, T, C, how we regulate our own agriculture, but the rest of our agriculture, the fundamental things Canadian. They wanted to try and dictate, but they also wanted to dictate who we could do trades with. This is premier of B.C. David Eby speaking this morning. The suggestion would not trade with other countries or reduce our trade because the Americans tell us to, would reduce us to the economic equivalent of the 51st state. It was never acceptable to Canadians, and the Prime Minister and his team rightly walked away from any suggestion that we would agree to that. And he's right, had we acquiesced these things, Canada would basically be a 51st state because what they do in this agreement was to basically dictate our laws and our culture, with in the world country is gonna operate in the and that is an insane request.
