People really see a girl who’s attractive, funny, social, and gets attention and automatically assume there must be seventeen men in her phone competing in some kind of elimination tournament. 😭 Meanwhile she’s at home in pajamas ignoring three “hey” messages because the thought of starting another talking stage sounds more exhausting than filing taxes. Like please understand: having options and wanting options are two completely different things. Some people genuinely enjoy dating around, meeting new people, and keeping things casual, and there’s nothing wrong with that. But some of us would rather skip the entire “what’s your favorite color?” interview process and fast-forward to being comfortable with one person. I don’t want twelve men giving me 8% of what I need. I want ONE man giving me hugs, forehead kisses, random food deliveries, reassurance, inside jokes, and an unreasonable amount of affection. 😭 I want the person I can call after a long day, annoy whenever I’m bored, fall asleep beside, send completely unnecessary updates to, and be soft around without wondering whether I’m embarrassing myself. That’s the funny part about people assuming someone has a huge roster because they could. Sometimes getting a lot of attention actually makes you appreciate genuine connection even more because you realize how little random validation means when it isn’t coming from the person you actually care about. So no, there isn’t a roster. There isn’t even a starting lineup. There’s barely a recruitment department. 😭 I don’t want everybody to want me. I just want one person I genuinely love to choose me consistently enough that I never feel like I need attention from anybody else.
