TWO BEST FRIENDS TURNED THEIR SIDE HUSTLE INTO A MULTI-MILLION-DOLLAR BRAND
THE SPARK
During home workouts, Millie Blumka and Taylor Borenstein noticed trainers folding their mats for extra support. Their old mats couldn't keep up with the workouts, and nothing on the market solved for that issue.
THE LAUNCH
Neither had started a business or created a product before. Their first step was networking. They each put in $25,000 of personal savings and have reinvested profits ever since. Both kept their day jobs.
THE TURNING POINT
Consistent monthly revenue took about a year to materialize; a mix of good months, great months and bad months before things leveled out. Once it did, Millie and Taylor made Stakt their full-time jobs.
THE LESSON:
THERE WILL NEVER BE A PERFECT TIME
Millie and Taylor both say the same thing: real progress starts once you launch. That's when you can adapt, learn and grow. Everyone will have advice, trust your gut and remember that no one has it all figured out. The chaos, Taylor says, is part of the journey.
