Here are the top 5 foods to add to heal from reflux, gerd, lpr, gastritis. I'm a reflux dietitian who healed her own gerd. And the first food is actually more of a category. So, soups, stews, crockpot meals, these things are really easy to digest and are going to be nice and soft on your stomach and your esophagus as it's healing. And the second thing is flax meal. Fiber has been shown to help boost healthy gut bacteria and then also there's studies on fiber supplementation and how that can improve lpr outcomes. So flax meal is a great way to up your fiber and support motility. Thirdly, I would definitely think about ground turkey. I know that sounds random, but a lean ground turkey is so versatile and so easy, it's already kind of broken down for your stomach. A lot of people are not getting enough protein who are trying to heal. And you can make ground turkey meatballs, you can make a turkey burger, there's so many delicious ways to use this. Fourth, I would consider is sweet potato. Sweet potato contains vitamin A, which is great for tissue healing and it's so versatile and you can also make this a base for lots of different reflux friendly sauces on the flora app. And then lastly, this is actually a functional ingredient called slippery elm. I would definitely consider slippery elm to help soothe inflammation in the throat and the esophagus in your regime. I hope this is helpful and be sure to follow along for more reflux friendly tips and strategies to help you address reflux and heal at the root.
