Replying to @Ben🐺 (Replying to a different comment of yours because I can't find the one where you asked me for my thoughts on anti-natalism)! I'm a climate optimist, through and through, and there are a lot of anti-natalist arguments that I just can't get behind. A lot of them lend themselves too easily to ecofascism and unfairly blame the people suffering the most from climate change under the guise of "humanity is inherently bad for the planet." This is not a video intended to criticize *every* argument made for anti-natalism, because, as you can see, I'm particularly honing in on the environmentalist ones, but I hope this explains why I don't promote anti-natalism. The right wing is about to pivot to ecofascism and they will probably use these anti-natalist talking points to do so, because any position that attempts to control who can give birth is susceptible to fascist infiltration. Pro-natalism and anti-natalism are nice for personal decisions... But it's one of those things that can't really be implemented, policy-wise, without quickly devolving into eugenics. #environmentalism #climatechange #Sustainability #climate #environmentalist anti natalism, climate change, environmentalism
