🚧 IS YOUR C-SECTION SCAR A ROADBLOCK? If you’re dealing with that stubborn C-section overhang or lower-belly “pooch” that doesn’t seem to change no matter how many ab exercises you do… 👀 You NEED to understand scar + tissue mobility. And no—this isn’t about magically “melting” belly fat or fixing your body with one technique. Your incision and the surrounding tissues need to be able to MOVE, GLIDE + EXPAND properly. When scar tissue becomes restricted, sticky, or adhered, it can change how the tissues around your lower abdomen move—and potentially make it harder to reconnect with your deep core + pelvic floor. Think of a restricted scar like a literal 🚧 ROADBLOCK across your lower abdomen. Here are a few techniques I love: ✨ SKIN PINCHING + LIFTING Can help you explore better 360° expansion and stop relying only on the front of your abdomen when you breathe. ✨ SKIN ROLLING Helps mobilize the superficial tissues and fascia. I especially love this around areas that feel tight or “grippy.” ✨ CUPPING I like working around the abdomen + rib cage, especially along the lateral abs where tension can affect how the tissues move. And tissue mobilization isn’t ONLY useful after a C-section. 👏 Whether you’ve had a C-section, delivered vaginally, or have never been pregnant, improving how your tissues move can be a valuable part of your core work. I’ve even used similar techniques around my own surgical/implant incisions. 👀 Your core isn’t just about doing MORE crunches. Sometimes you need to improve the connection, mobility + movement of the tissues first. 🔥 💬 #postpartumfitness #csectionrecovery #csectionscar #postpartumcore #coreexercises
