Halifax - Internet Banking - Error

If you bank with Halifax, your bank is about to disappear! What’s going to happen to your money? From 31st October, the Halifax brand will be replaced by Lloyds, and as someone with a £280,000 Halifax mortgage, I checked exactly what customers need to know! Be especially alert to scams - Halifax says it won’t call or text you about the move, or send a link or QR code asking you to log in. Genuine updates will only arrive by email, letter or through the Halifax banking app. Save this if you have a Halifax credit card or mortgage. Well, Halifax is actually already owned by Lloyds Banking Group, so instead of having two separate brands, Halifax and Lloyds, they're just going to scrap Halifax and replace it with Lloyds. The good news is, not a lot of changes are happening to you or me. Your account number and sort code will stay the same, any direct debits or standing orders you have will continue as normal, and any products you've taken out with Halifax unaffected, including mortgages. You'll receive your Lloyds replacements, your Halifax debit card or credit card will continue working. The only thing is you have to move over to Lloyds online banking because from the 31st of October, Halifax's online banking will shut down and you won't be able to access your account. Just keep in mind that are scams going around trying to take advantage of this move, so just remember that Halifax or Lloyds will not text you, they will not call you and they will not send you any links or QR codes asking you to log in. They will only contact you either through the online banking app or by letter. Let me know if you have any questions.
