People are stockpiling bottled water… but do we actually need to? 💧 The drought situation in England is serious, but drought does NOT mean everyone’s taps are suddenly about to run dry. And there’s a big difference between keeping a sensible emergency supply at home and clearing supermarket shelves because you’ve seen a scary headline. Government emergency planning works on roughly 3 litres of drinking water per person, per day — around 9 litres each for three days. So preparation? Sensible. Panic buying? Completely different. And those claims about people buying water specifically to resell at ridiculous prices? I couldn’t find credible evidence to verify them, so I’m not repeating them as fact. 👇 Do you keep emergency drinking water at home? #UKDrought #WaterShortage #UKNews #CostOfLiving #WeAreNotPoorYet
