I am not one that finds it easy to ask for help or advice. But I have come to trust you all and you have been so good at offering your helpful tips and tricks. So… I need to ask my TikTok family for some help. ❤️ You've been following me through my mobility journey, and you know how hard I've been working to become more mobile. There's something I need that could make a HUGE difference for me: a bariatric power lift chair that is specifically designed for my height and weight. It's not just a regular recliner. The lift function would be to help me safely get up and down, but I also need to be able to recline and elevate my legs comfortably and safely. I need a chair that can actually support my body and my mobility needs. The chair I need is around $4,000. ($3835 to be exact) I've been trying to find funding in my province. I went through Continuing Care, and they weren't able to fund it. I was also directed to Disability Support Services, and unfortunately they don't have funding either. So I'm asking my community: Does anyone know of a charity, organization, foundation, service club, medical-equipment program, or individual who might be able to help with something like this in Nova Scotia? And if you know someone who works with medical equipment or accessibility funding, PLEASE tag them or send this video to them. I'm not giving up. I've worked too hard on this journey to stop looking for solutions now. ❤️ Thank you for being here and cheering me on. You have no idea how much this community means to me.
