Day 22 July 29 2026

Today my biggest walk wasn't the one you see in this video. It happened inside a bank and it pushed me further than I ever wanted to go. No one was trying to be unkind, but today reminded me how many places simply aren't designed for someone whose body gives out after standing for a few minutes. My husband and I went to the bank to finish setting up a new account. I had been told from my mobility, this could be done from my vehicle initially. But when we got there, I was told I needed to come inside. Because of my mobility, I was told someone would help me. But I ended up having to stand much longer than I expected. There was a chair, but I couldn't fit in it. I leaned on my cane trying to catch my breath while I waited. By the time I finished signing the paperwork and got over to the pin machine, I was so exhausted I don't even remember the pin I chose. When I got back to the van, I was completely done in and breathless. I honestly thought today's movement was done. But then I thought of all of you following this journey. So tonight, I did my day 22 walk anyway. Progress doesn't always happen when we feel our strongest. Sometimes it happens because we refuse to give up. Here is a bonus clip of me trying out my new Infinity hoop. I reached out to the makers of the original Infinity hoop who unfortunately were not able to accommodate me due to my size requirements.
