President Trump says Iran is “DEAD" and the numbers show why Tehran’s economy is under intense pressure. China’s imports of Iranian crude have plunged to a provisional 534,000 barrels per day in August, down sharply from the roughly 1.4 million barrels per day Iran averaged in 2025. And Iran’s president says imports and exports across the board are down as much as 35% while annual inflation hit 66% in July. All of it comes as traffic through the Strait of Hormuz remains badly disrupted and Brent crude pushes back above $90 a barrel.
