🌭 One-Pan Sausage & Broccoli Orzo 🥦 A hearty one-pan dinner with browned smoked sausage, tender broccoli, and orzo cooked together in a rich, savory sauce. Easy, filling, and perfect for a busy weeknight. Ingredients * 14 oz smoked sausage, sliced * 1½ cups orzo * 2 cups broccoli florets * 1 small onion, diced * 3 garlic cloves, minced * 1 tbsp olive oil * 2 tbsp butter * 3 cups chicken broth * 1 tbsp tomato paste * 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce * 1 tsp smoked paprika * ½ tsp Italian seasoning * ½ tsp garlic powder * ½ tsp onion powder * ½ tsp black pepper * ¼ tsp red pepper flakes, optional * ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese * 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped Instructions 1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook for 4–5 minutes, turning occasionally, until nicely browned. Remove and set aside. 2. Add the butter and diced onion to the same skillet. Cook for 2–3 minutes until softened. Add the garlic and cook for another 30 seconds. 3. Stir in the tomato paste, smoked paprika, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. 4. Add the orzo and stir for about 1 minute to lightly toast it. 5. Pour in the chicken broth and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well and bring to a gentle simmer. 6. Reduce the heat to medium-low, cover, and cook for 7–8 minutes, stirring occasionally. 7. Add the broccoli florets and browned sausage. Cover again and cook for 5–7 minutes, until the broccoli is tender and the orzo is cooked through. 8. Stir in the Parmesan until the sauce becomes rich and slightly creamy. If it gets too thick, add a small splash of chicken broth. 9. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
