the most satisfying scribble art meditation 🪄🧠 ART SUPPLIES* USED: - Arteza watercolor paper - low-tack artist tape - Shuttle Art tempera paint sticks - Arrtx brush tip acrylic markers (gold & silver) *you can use other mediums for this exercise; adapt as needed to work with what you have! To trace the borders with acrylic markers, use water-soluble mediums for the scribbles (and let them dry completely) so you don’t ruin your marker nibs. If you want to use oil pastels, you totally can - just trace the borders with a contrasting oil pastel, NOT an acrylic marker (same goes for wax crayons). This is a go-to exercise for me when I’m feeling overwhelmed or creatively blocked. WHY I LOVE THIS EXERCISE: Layering scribbles and stipples is soooo satisfying - a great way to quickly release mental & physical tension. It’s also a lesson in trusting the process, and can even carry some insightful metaphors about life when I’m in a pensive mood (what do YOU think it means?). Outlining the colorful shapes helps me to focus and slow down. And peeling off the tape is a little reward for sticking with it til the end - sooooo therapeutic & satisfying! From chaos to order 🙌 #artmeditation #mindfulart #meditativeart #intuitiveart #satisfyingart
