A kitchen gadget our grandparents had that deserves a comeback. 🤎 I bought this vintage Warm-O-Tray from a woman on Facebook Marketplace, and naturally I had to plug it in and see if it still worked. Mine is a Warm-O-Tray Model 60, made by Atlantic Precision Works in New York. It was originally advertised to me as being from the 1950s, but after doing a little digging, mine is likely from the 1960s. The ZIP code printed on the original label helps date it to 1963 or later. These electric warming trays were made to do exactly what the name suggests: keep serving dishes warm at the table or buffet. I can just picture one sitting out for Sunday dinner, a holiday meal, or a house full of company while everyone made their plates. And can we talk about that blue cornflower design? 🥹 They really knew how to make even the practical things pretty. The best part? After roughly 60 years, it still works.
