If you have rib flare and you’ve been told “Just bring your ribs down” “Push your back into the mat or wall” Those are cues I hate and never use 🫣 (I used to use the mat one until I knew better!) I don’t like these cues because it’s forced. And if you’re forcing it… you’re sending pressure somewhere. Usually this causes pressure to be sent down/out to belly and your upper abs to grip. (Where my b belly girls at?!) So instead we want to use the 360 method: we don’t force, we rely on our breath. Breath in a 360 manner around your ribs, exhale like you’re trying to fog up a mirror (or make the ssssss sound) while engaging your core from bottom to top, continue the exhale and feel your ribs naturally fall down and in place. Both moves LOOK like they do the same thing at the end. But forced alignment < natural alignment. We go over more alignment and core work in Ab Rehab. ##postpartumfitness##deepcore##ribflare##anteriorpelvictilt
