There's no such thing as synthetic Fridays anymore. People used to, on the trading floor, they used to get as sh*tfaced as humanly possible on Thursday night and then you'd basically go home, you'd do what's called a Xerox. You would not sleep, you would just change your shirt. You'd comb your hair, and you'd take a shower. Maybe. Depends how late you are. Honestly, it depends how late you are. You'd do the hair, the crisp shirt, erases all kinds of sins. Okay. The tie depending on where you were. Maybe not. Again, it's not just traders that do this. Investment bankers do this too. This is a finance ritual. This is an entire lifestyle. I don't know. Maybe they've cleaned up their act since. I'm not at a bank anymore but The Xerox and the turnaround this is what would allow you to arrive on Friday with a splitting headache and an unbelievable hangover but still feel like you were capable of managing billions of dollars of risk.
