Every conversation is not for everyone. And that’s okay. Black American culture is rich, distinct, and deeply rooted. Our food, music, language, art, traditions, fashion, humor, and storytelling have shaped American culture and influenced the world. Please make note that Black Americans and Caribbean people have overlapping histories. Our ancestors were displaced and ended up in different places throughout the Americas. Some on Caribbean islands, others in what became the United States. Different environments and histories shaped distinct cultures from related roots. Black American culture exists.
