flowy lines and slow coloring for a lil brain relief 🪄🧠 ART SUPPLIES USED: - Canson mixed media paper* - Low-tack artist tape - Liquitex gold acrylic marker - Arrtx brush tip acrylic markers - Uniball Signo gold gel pen *I tend to use watercolor paper for this exercise (because of the tape - wp holds up better!). However, I get asked a lot if it’s okay to use mixed media paper, so wanted to demo that here (spoiler alert: YES! I recommend you use low-tack tape and peel off slowwwwwly to prevent tearing) THE PROCESS: Tape off a grid on your paper. Scribble for a few seconds - long enough for the lines to overlap and shapes to form, but not so long that you start overthinking it. Next, enjoy meditative flow state while you color in the shapes. Optional: retrace your lines, round out the corners, and/or add zen doodles inside the shapes. This process is an effective way to slow down, unwind your mind, and be present - which is what Art Meditation is all about! This practice can be profound, but it doesn’t have to be serious. Relax your face, my friend. I love these “intuitive scribbles” because they are super low-pressure and beginner-friendly. Drawing, coloring, and doodling are effective ways to shift out of overthinking mode and into flow state. Relaxing, therapeutic, and oh-so-satisfying. #artmeditation #mindfulart #meditativeart #coloringtherapy #intuitiveart
