Microsoft shipped five Copilot updates this week that you can actually use at work. Including one that cleans up your inbox from a sentence. Unless you're studying Copilot like I do, you probably haven't heard about them. First, Outlook can organize your inbox from chat, not just talking about summarizing an email thread. We're all there already. You can ask Copilot to organize messages, add categories, create folders, and set up inbox rules in the chat to get started. Try a simple create an FYI folder for messages where I'm copied. Second, Excel can now tell you who changed what. Ask what changed in a workbook, every workbook now knows who broke it and puts the old formula back. If a formula breaks, Copilot can help find the change and restore the earlier version. Third, Copilot Notebooks. Copilot notebooks in your Outlook emails and Teams meetings. So you can add an email thread and Teams meetings to one project in notebook. Then you could ask it something like, what did we decide, drop in an email thread and a meeting, one notebook reads both. What still open and who owns the next step? So it has all of the context for that topic from your different platforms. Fourth, Word. Word now shows you exactly what Copilot changed. So when Copilot rewrite something, it flagged the whole paragraph. Now, each word exactly what Copilot changed. So you can review the changes much faster. And fifth, Excel can write and run Python for you. So you describe the analysis you need and edit with Copilot writes and runs the Python. You describe the analysis, it writes code and fills in your sheet. You don't even need to know how to code. Save this because Microsoft rolls out features gradually, so you're gonna wanna have this when those features reach your account.
