No one talks about this one phenomenon in healthcare and I call it the nursing doctor paradox and it happens to me every single shift without fail. It's when a nurse pages you and says hey this patient's super agitated, this patient's blood pressure is 70, sats are low 88% on an on respirator on Bipap. And then I show up within two minutes and lo and behold that issue is no longer relevant. The patient who was supposedly agitated is completely calm and relaxed. Someone whose blood pressure was 70 now is now 120 systolic and the sats are 100% and there's no explanation for this. And every time I walk in and I was like wait, what are you guys talking about? Nurses are like, no, I swear to God it was low when I called you. I'm not lying. And without fail, this happens every single shift. And and I believe the nurses, of course. And so I always stay extra, I make sure I assess everything fully and make sure we're not missing anything else. But it's just hilarious to me how frequent this phenomenon happens. If you're in healthcare, let me know, does this happen to you too?
