10 places worth the drive east coast fall Road trip through this fall. My credentials are I lived in upstate New York for three years and I'm from North Jersey and I love a road trip. Number one is Burlington, Vermont. So Vermont foliage is unmatched. Just trust me. Burlington, you're right on the water, think music on the water, breweries, places to eat outside, beautiful weather and so much to do and so much sightseeing. You're just immersed in nature. Number two is the Berkshires, Massachusetts. No introduction. Salem, Massachusetts. My boyfriend and I like to stay in Boston and then road trip to Salem for the day. I actually suggest not going in October though. Go in September or November. Number four is Kennebunkport, Maine. Number five is Lake Placid, New York. There's so much to do. You're just like relaxed, it is absolutely breathtaking. Number six is Cooperstown, New York. You have Ommegang Brewery, you're on the water, super quaint and old school little town. You also have the Baseball Hall of Fame. Driving up there in the fall is unmatched. Number seven is New Paltz, New York. This is so near and dear to my heart. My favorite ever. A favorite hike is the Lemon Squeeze hike and Mohonk Mountain House. I always stop for the little boozy popsicles even as someone who doesn't drink much. You have to take a trip to New Paltz. It's the cutest little hippy town on the water. Street. Number seven, Kingston, New York, honorable mention. Number eight is Hunter, New York and Kaaterskill Falls. The falls are less of a hike and more of just like you walk right to it. It is so beautiful. It's a little bit dangerous getting there when you park on the side of the road. I don't know what the parking situation is supposed to be, but that's what I've always done. It's like just the most insane waterfall tucked into those side of the highway. So beautiful and also just Hunter itself. I usually go in the winter to go snowboarding, but this time of year is also unmatched. Number nine is Ithaca, New York and Watkins Glen Gorge. So beautiful. It's where Cornell is located. Ithaca College and not is also where Watkins Glen Park is. Number 10, New Hope, Pennsylvania. Such a quaint little town. Definitely worth visiting. So many cute little stores and places to eat and drink. It is so beautiful.
