Hook
Welcome to plant-based poverty protein. I'll tell you about delicious meals for under three bucks. And if you try this one, I promise it will become a staple in your kitchen. First, chop up some onions. The smaller the pieces, the better. Do the same with a piece of ginger. You can also grate it if you want to get it extra fine. Now, toast both into a other pan and sauté them for a little. Add a generous teaspoon of garam masala and turmeric and stir for another minute. Next, a cup of red lentils goes into the pot, as well as some tomato paste and salt. When the bottom gets sticky, deglaze it with a cup of water and one can of coconut milk. Let it cook with a lid on until the lentils are soft. This dish is not only cheap and healthy, but also versatile. I would love to know what you'd add to it to make it even better. Personally, I'm feeling spinach. But with or without, your plate's gonna be clean either way.
