And so, when you're offered something like that, it really causes a debate in your head about what your speech means and how valuable that is! And why did they want to offer me this amount of money to not speak? Alex spoke to it a little bit, about Elon's unreality, and he does have a... complicated relationships generally, but his most complicated relationship is with the truth. And so I think, most importantly, I want to set the example for my kids that you should never take being materially comfortable over speaking the truth. He texted me in the context that we need to have a legion of children before the Civil War. So I think whatever it is, what he's doing with this platform and X cannot be ignored. Because he is stoking flames that don't exist in the real world, I do believe that he is causing deliberate division that may be catastrophic if it's not regulated or tamed, or if we don't do our part in putting it down. I also think that there is an aspect of right-wing politics that allows him an avenue for cruelty, that makes the traumatized child in him happy. He has an ability for empathy, he has the capability for empathy, and he consciously rejects empathy. He makes a conscious choice to not put himself in other people's shoes, because he does have the capacity to do it when he needs to. So I think it is a deliberate rejection of empathy. Brut. Brut.
