Houston has a new spot for GIANT stuffed cookies 🍪 Empire Cookies built its following through farmers markets, pop-ups and events around Houston, and now they finally have their first permanent dessert shop in the Memorial area. Their specialty is massive cookies that start with around 6 ounces of dough. They’re thick and soft in the middle with slightly crisp edges, with flavors ranging from classic chocolate chip to cookies stuffed with cheesecake and dulce de leche. But the surprise for me was the Basque cheesecake. The deeply caramelized top gives it a toasted flavor, while the inside stays rich, creamy and almost custard-like.
