One of the most unique restaurants in Houston right now is combining Korean + Italian food 🇰🇷🇮🇹 📍 DAO’N Korean Modern Restaurant 9861 Long Point Rd, Houston, TX 77055 • DAO’N opened in Spring Branch in 2025 and specializes in modern Korean cuisine with a major focus on Korean-Italian fusion • Chef-owner Kevin Lee was born in Seoul, grew up in Philadelphia, and later moved to Houston with the goal of putting a modern spin on Korean flavors • We started with the Kimchi Arancini — kimchi-bacon fried rice wrapped around mozzarella, fried crispy and served with buttery kimchi sauce • The Beef Tartare Bruschetta uses A4 Akaushi Wagyu with Korean pear, cucumber and truffle over toasted baguette • Their Steak Diane Pasta comes with steak, fettuccine and mushrooms in a super rich and creamy Diane sauce • ⭐ My favorites were the Bulgogi Carbonara, Spicy Pork Rosé Rigatoni and Pork Jowl Rice Cake #houstonrestaurants #houstonfood #italianfood #koreanfood
