What is a sprinkler head?

Did you know that the fire alarm system is not usually a sprinkler head? It's actually heat. There's a little glass bulb inside that sprinkler head. It's heat sensitive and it's meant to break when the heat gets too high. If there's a fire, it breaks, opens up, and then water flows out, but only above where the heat source is. So you could have another sprinkler head 20 feet away and it's not going off. Then that water flow through the paddle in position of waterflow notifies the fire alarm system that something's happening, and then the fire alarm goes off, or at least there's a trouble and that'll send to the building. Now there's three main types of pendant sprinkler head hangs down below downward. Sometimes that pushes the lowest point of the ceiling. Then you have a recessed pendant, and it sits partially inside the ceiling and it gives a cleaner appearance and usually has a cap covering it. Then you have an upright sprinkler head. That's when it's pipe, and it's facing upward. That's used in an open ceiling, you might see that in a warehouse, or a store like Home Depot or a gym. And if you're renovation during the project, while you don't have a ceiling, you might take a pendant and turn it upside down to maintain the capability of fire suppression throughout the project. You also wanna hit the head so that the trades can't hit the head too easily when they're on site. So that you can share tidbits like that I learned in construction management.
