Exhaustion has become the default state for a vast majority of Americans, according to new CDC data. The survey found 71.5% of adults reported feeling fatigued on at least some days, while 16.6% said they feel exhausted most days or every day. Women and adults ages 18 to 34 reported the highest rates of frequent fatigue. Doctors say poor sleep and stress are likely behind much of the exhaustion, though underlying health conditions can also play a role.
