Bulgarians are a tough exercise to get the hang of so this is one cue I keep in mind to simplify the movement! My positioning is the same in both versions but my movement path changes. Many people compare this to “escalator vs elevator” which basically means that in the first clip my hips are traveling backwards towards my rear foot and in the second clip my hips are traveling (almost) straight downward. You want your hips to be traveling downwards instead of backwards because this allows you to keep your weight in the working leg and therefore more demand on your glute in the working leg. Regarding positioning, if you want to bias the glutes in this movement, then bring your working leg farther forward and have a slight forward torso lean. @AYBL | MABEL 🤍 #workouttips #gymmotivation #gymtips #legday #squat
