Part. 27. Okay, before we keep going, I need to straighten out the timeline a little bit because this is where several parts of my life start overlapping. I found out my biopsy was cancerous on May 14. On May 18, I met with the general surgeon, and I was basically handed a pamphlet that said, “Okay, are we doing a lumpectomy or are we doing a mastectomy?” If I chose the lumpectomy, there was a strong possibility that I would also need radiation. So, I did a lot of research. I talked to family members, other flight attendants who had been through breast cancer, and my doctors about my personal risk factors and what made the most sense for me. Ultimately, I decided that a full mastectomy was the best decision for me. But the mastectomy itself didn’t happen until July 23 2026. Jack still did not know that I had breast cancer during May, June, or even when I had the mastectomy. He didn’t find out until the first week of August, after the surgery had already happened and I was prepping for my second surgery. So now I’m going to take you back to the first week of June, because while I’m privately trying to make decisions about cancer and surgery, we’re also attempting to mediate this divorce.
