Unboxing and first run in the Nike Alphafly 4 👟 Just under 9km this morning with a faster km mixed in at around 3:45/km, just to see how they moved. Some info on the tech behind this update: New ZoomX LT foam, sitting above and below the carbon Flyplate. 17% lighter than standard ZoomX with 8% more energy return. Air Zoom pods now shaped using radio frequency and vibration rather than heat, making them 30% lighter and easier to compress. More pronounced Flyplate rocker and a wider base, addressing the late-race stability issue some flagged with the v3. 188g in a men’s 8.5. 5% lighter than the v3 with 10% more energy return. Stack: 39mm heel, 31mm forefoot, 8mm drop. My first run impressions: The feel sits closest to the v3. Roomy through the toe box, which suits my wider feet (especially on longer efforts). Not as “slappy” as the v3, though there’s bit of squeak on the left shoe (my guess is it’s from the Zoom Air unit). Plenty more miles to log before a proper verdict, but the early signs are strong. What do you think - 🔥🔥🔥 or ❄️❄️❄️? #Running #runner #runlife #nikealphafly4 #alphafly4
