Yes, you can absolutely eat crackers if you have diabetes! 🙌 But, not all crackers are created equal when it comes to blood sugar management. When choosing crackers, I like to look for options that offer fiber, protein, and/or healthy fats to help create a more balanced snack. And remember, you don't have to avoid carbs to enjoy a blood sugar friendly snack! Here are 5 of my favorite cracker options to add to your grocery list: 🟡 Triscuit Original: Made with whole grain wheat and a great option for adding more fiber to your snack. 🟠 Crunchmaster: A crunchy, gluten-free option made with seeds and whole grains. 🟢 Simple Mills: Made with almond flour, these crackers offer a delicious alternative to traditional wheat-based crackers, with healthy fats from almonds and less carbs than traditional crackers. 🔴 Ritz Whole Wheat: These offer some whole grains and are a great reminder that you don't have to give up the foods you love to manage your blood sugars. 🧀 Whisps: Made from cheese, these crunchy snacks are packed with protein and contain very little carbohydrate. They're a great option when you want something crunchy without adding many carbs. 💡 My favorite tip: Pair your crackers with a protein or fat source like cheese, hummus, peanut butter, or tuna to create a more satisfying snack that can help support steadier blood sugars. And don't forget, portion sizes matter! Check the nutrition label for the serving size, total carbohydrates, fiber, and protein to find the option that works best for YOU. #diabetes #bloodsugar #SnackTime #healthysnacks #fiber
