Here’s one of my new letter trays! This is an independent center, so I like to add recordable buttons to give students the directions and language they need without me sitting at the table. For the letter A, they first press the button and hear, “A says /a/.” Then they use the hand2mind marble tracer, pushing the marble along the letter formation while repeating the letter and sound. Next, they move to a mini tray of sand and use their finger to write the letter. It’s a simple multisensory way to practice letter recognition, letter sounds, and letter formation while building independence at centers.
