36 weeks pregnant? 😳 Mama, this is NOT the time to relax too much and assume, ‘My baby is almost here, so everything is fine.’ There are some big mistakes you should avoid from now!” ❌ 1. DON'T IGNORE A CHANGE IN YOUR BABY'S MOVEMENT 👶 At 36 weeks, your baby should still move regularly. Don't believe the myth that: “The baby has less space, so movement will stop.” Your baby's movements may feel different as pregnancy advances, but a significant reduction or change from your baby's usual pattern needs prompt assessment. Don't wait until tomorrow. ❌ 2. DON'T SKIP YOUR ANTENATAL APPOINTMENTS Some mums think: “I'm already 36 weeks. I've almost reached the finish line!” Mama, your late-pregnancy appointments are VERY important. Your healthcare team may check things like your blood pressure, baby's growth, position, and other concerns. The closer you get to delivery, the more important it is to stay connected to your maternity team. ❌ 3. DON'T IGNORE SIGNS OF LABOUR OR WARNING SIGNS At this stage, don't ignore: 🩸 Vaginal bleeding 💧 Possible waters breaking 😣 Regular painful contractions 🚨 Severe headache or vision changes 👶 A significant reduction in baby's movements Know where to go and who to call. ❌ 4. DON'T TAKE RANDOM MEDICINES OR HERBAL MIXTURES This is a BIG one! 😳 Don't take herbs, castor oil, “labour-inducing drinks,” or random medications because somebody online said, “It worked for me.” Natural does NOT automatically mean safe. Always discuss anything you're considering with your midwife or doctor. ❌ 5. DON'T WAIT UNTIL LABOUR STARTS BEFORE PREPARING Mama, please! 😂 Don't wait until contractions are 2 minutes apart before asking: “Where is my hospital bag?” 😭 At 36 weeks, know: 🏥 Where you're planning to give birth 📞 Important phone numbers 🎒 Where your essentials are 🚗 How you'll get to your maternity unit Being prepared doesn't mean labour is starting today. It means you're ready whenever it happens. “Mamas who have reached 36 weeks… be honest 😂👇 Which one have you NOT done yet?” 🎒 Packed hospital bag 📞 Saved emergency number 🚗 Planned transport 👶 Monitoring baby's movements COMMENT: ‘I'M READY’ or ‘I'M NOT READY!’ 😂👇
