Labour often progresses faster sometimes significantly faster 2. Your body has done this before cervix may dilate more quickly 3. Pushing stage is often shorter 4. Afterpains are usually more intense your uterus contracting back down 5. Braxton Hicks from earlier in pregnancy 💔 What can surprise you: 6. Going from early labour to active labour very quickly 7. Feeling like you need to push sooner than expected 8. Being advised to go to hospital earlier than last time 9. Recovery feeling different to your first 10. Emotions being different not necessarily easier 💔 What to tell your midwife: 11. How fast your first labour was 12. Any complications from your first birth 13. At what point you needed to travel last time 14. Whether you want to discuss birth plan changes 15. Any fears carried over from your first experience 🤍 If your first labour was fast discuss this specifically with your midwife or consultant.
