The day before this exchange, he followed me in his car. The next morning, I still had to hand him our baby. He came into the police department recording, put his phone in my face, took our baby, then parked behind my car while I stayed inside. I waited until he drove away before I felt comfortable walking back out. Minutes later, he sent me the video, accused me of lying about him and ended with “good luck” And THIS is why I keep the receipts 🧾 Because when you’ve spent enough time questioning your own experiences, there’s something powerful about being able to look back and say: No. I remember how that made me feel. And I have the receipt. I WANT my son to love his dad. I want peaceful exchanges. I want to drive away knowing my baby is happy, loved, and safe. But the more unsafe I feel during these interactions, the harder it is for my momma heart to separate that feeling from leaving my baby in his care. How does a mother separate the two? So I document. I heal. I keep the receipts. Not because I want to stay in this chapter, but because I refuse to lose myself in it again 🧾 #dvro #coparentingafterabuse #postseparationabuse #familycourt #coparenting
