I'm genuinely such a fan of other artists. I love seeing people take risks, believe in themselves, and really just commit. Being at the VMAs and seeing so many of my friends here just leaves me so inspired, and it also makes me think about how much I've had to believe in myself to get here. I've definitely spent money on projects with no idea if they were going to work. I just knew I had to trust my gut. The funny thing about being an independent artist is, I can basically do whatever I want creatively, but I'm also the one who has to pay for whatever I want. So sometimes we do have to get a little creative. Every song, every visual, every tour, I'm the one investing in it. And Credit Karma has really helped me build that confidence over the years, which is why I was so excited to partner with them and attend the VMAs. Just being able to see where I'm at financially has helped me make way better decisions, take more risks, keep investing in myself, and hopefully someday, I get to retire my parents. Let's go.
