Beyond the Stars (1989) 🌙 A young Christian Slater and Sharon Stone in one of those late-80s movies that seems to have disappeared from everyone's radar. There's something about seeing these two together before their careers really took off. Slater still has that youthful, slightly awkward charm, while Stone already has the kind of screen presence that makes even a small role memorable. In the film, Slater plays Eric, a teenager fascinated by space who forms an unlikely friendship with a former astronaut played by Martin Sheen. Sharon Stone appears as Laurie, bringing a little romance into a story that's otherwise more concerned with dreams, disappointment and the mysteries of the Moon. 🎬 The timing makes this one especially interesting.
