[ NEW ] YOU CAN NOW DINE INSIDE YOUR OWN PRIVATE HOT AIR BALLOON The Hills of Rivermakers has just launched Dine on Cloud 9, a limited-time pop-up where you climb into your very own custom-built hot air balloon right by the river for two hours of shared food and free-flowing drinks. Each balloon is booked privately for up to six guests, with a tower of bites landing first and a wagyu eye fillet to follow. It opened on 7 October and is only here until January 2027, so this is one long lunch or date night you will want to lock in before summer is out. THE DINE ON CLOUD 9 MENU 🌮 The wagyu tartare taco: a beef tartare taco made with Wagyu MB6, one of six bites served one each per person. 🦞 The bites: lobster brioche, prawn vol-au-vent, bocconcini and hot honey bruschetta, French brie tartlet, and pumpkin and cheddar arancini. 🥩 The main: Australian MB5/6 Wagyu eye fillet with house-made potato gratin and Sangiovese wine jus, plus a summer salad with citrus dressing. THE PACKAGES 🍷 The alcoholic package: $89pp for the full shared menu with two hours of free-flowing house beers, wines and soft drinks. 🧃 The non-alcoholic package: $69pp for the full shared menu with two hours of free-flowing juices and soft drinks. 🧒 The kids package: $15pp for kids 12 and under, with chicken nuggets or a kids cheeseburger and chips, plus juice and soft drinks. GOOD TO KNOW 🎟️ Packages are $69pp or $89pp, kids $15pp, with a maximum of six guests per balloon. 🗓️ Sittings run Wednesday to Friday from 5pm and Saturday to Sunday from 12pm, each lasting two hours. ✍🏻 Bookings are essential and the menu is set, so flag any dietaries with the team before you book. ☔️ It is an outdoor experience, so if the weather turns the team will try to move you to another space or reschedule. 📍 Dine on Cloud 9 is located at @The Hills of Rivermakers, 82 Colmslie Road, Morningside 🗓️ 7 October 2026 to January 2027 Who are you taking with you?
