🎄❄️ IT’S NOT CHRISTMAS TIME, BUT I’M READY FOR IT TO BE! ❤️ Y’all, I don’t care if it’s 90 degrees outside! The minute I see fresh cranberries back in the grocery store, I’m buying them and making my CRANBERRY SNOWBALLS! 😂 I have been looking and looking for fresh cranberries, just waiting for them to come back in season, and I finally found some! Now, these little things are absolutely DELIGHTFUL! They’re tart, a little bitter, sweet from the powdered sugar, and when you bite into one, POP! 💥 And yes, I know some people think fresh cranberries taste like soap. It’s kind of like the cilantro situation. Thank goodness that’s not a problem I have, because I absolutely LOVE these things! They’re not just delicious. They’re FUN! They’re the cutest little conversation starters for Christmas parties, holiday gatherings, and dessert tables. People love trying them, and that sweet little pop when you bite into one is just the best! ❄️ CRANBERRY SNOWBALLS Ingredients: * 1 bag (12 oz) fresh cranberries * ½ of a 32 oz bag of powdered sugar (approximately 4 cups) Directions: 1. Preheat your oven to 200°F. 2. Rinse your fresh cranberries thoroughly and drain off the excess water. Do NOT dry them! You want them damp so the powdered sugar will stick. 3. Place the cranberries in a large bowl with a lid. 4. Add approximately half a 32-ounce bag of powdered sugar. 5. Put the lid on and shake, shake, shake until every cranberry is completely coated and looks like a little snowball! 6. Spread them in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet. 7. Place in the oven at 200°F for ONLY 5 MINUTES! 8. Remove from the oven and allow them to cool completely. IMPORTANT: Don’t be tempted to leave them in the oven longer! We’re not trying to bake the cranberries. We want them firm so they’ll still POP when you bite into them! OPTIONAL: Some recipes call for soaking the cranberries overnight in Sprite and orange juice before coating them. I’ve tried that, and I honestly can’t tell one bit of difference! So I skip that step and just rinse mine with water. Easy peasy! Sweet, tart, crunchy on the outside, and that wonderful little POP on the inside! It’s not Christmas yet, but my kitchen doesn’t know that! 🎄😂 Y’all try this! ❤️ How to Store: Allow the cranberry snowballs to cool completely and let the powdered sugar coating set before storing. Keep them in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They’re best enjoyed within the first 2–3 days for that wonderful crisp coating and fresh cranberry POP! The powdered sugar may soften a little as they sit. Of course, mine have never lasted long enough for me to worry about storing them! 😂 #cranberrysnowballs #cranberry #christmas #snack #holidays
