After nearly 40 years, KFC is saying goodbye to Pepsi and switching to Coca-Cola. The fried chicken chain announced it will replace Pepsi products at roughly 3,700 U.S. restaurants, beginning in January 2027, with the rollout expected to finish by spring. The move ends a partnership dating back to 1986, when PepsiCo acquired KFC. Even after the company spun off the chain in 1997, Pepsi remained its beverage supplier. KFC says the new partnership is part of a broader effort to modernize its restaurants and expand beverage options.
