Hi my name is Teagan McLarnan And I am a Egg Tempera Artist and there's a few things that separate me from other artists. For one thing, everything in my paintings are 100% handmade. That is the panel, the traditional gesso, the paint and even the frame. Don't believe me? Watch. Step 1: Make wood panels. First I start off by making my wood panel. That is the surface in which I'm going to paint on. Step 2: Make traditional gesso With rabbit skin glue and marble dust. Next is making traditional gesso. Egg tempera can't be used with normal gesso, so you have to make old school rabbit skin glue and marble dust gesso. After the gesso is made, I can make some paint and start painting. Step 3: Make egg tempera paint. Step 4: Make floating frame. Last but not least is the frame, and that's it.
