Their other posts in the index, biggest breakout first.
I made this painting with eggs. 65 eggs to be exact. This is my painting that is titled The Past Leaves Us Leaf by Leaf. It took over 500 hours to complete and the medium that I used to make this painting is called egg tempera. So in my last video I said you cannot blend with egg tempera. So if you look very closely there is hundreds if not thousands of tiny little strokes that are very close in color and value to give the illusion of blending. Here is an example of how I build form with my egg tempera paintings without being able to blend. So with egg tempera you have to apply the layers very thinly but the cool thing about egg tempera is that all the layers that you put down underneath before will eventually show through and that also helps with the luminous quality that I talked about in my last video. But do you know how many leaves are in this painting? Take a guess and I will reveal how many leaves are in this painting in my next video. Thank you so much for watching.
