The Best Lessons from How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie Use people's names in conversation One the sweetest sound to anyone is their own name When you use someone's name in a conversation with them it shows that you value and respect them Personally I really like to use this one when I'm out to eat and especially talking to wait staff But if you work in the service industry please tell me if that's like super corny Sometimes I feel worried about it Tailor your conversations Tailor your conversations to the other person's interest Consider the demographic in which you are speaking to You're more likely to keep the other person engaged and it shows them that you value their perspective It also makes people trust you more because it feels like they can relate to you a little bit People like people that are similar to them Take a genuine interest in others Take a genuine interest in people Ask them what they like to do for fun Ask them what their favorite movie is Ask them what they enjoy learning about That way the next time you see them you can ask them a question about that topic And if you don't know anything else about them do you remember that one thing It'll make them feel so special Follow for more recommendations ❤️ Let me know if you guys want me to break down more lessons.
