Editing tips for short form video. Here's what you need to change to make your edits better. Number one, you need to stop using in-app editors. So if you're editing in the YouTube app or in the TikTok app, just cut it out and go anywhere except there. And over the long run, this is going to help you be more efficient, it'll help you post everywhere and get better engagement everywhere, and it'll allow you to use shortcuts that really speed up the editing process. Step two, the first five seconds of a video, and actually probably two or three seconds of a video, need to be incredible. I recommend a slight zoom in as well as animated captions. And when I say animated, I mean like completely customized using keyframes, stickers, that's part of why I use Premiere Pro. The first few seconds of all of my videos are always what my editor spend the most time on. Finally, you got to be able to hold attention. Do this through GIFs, audio effects, captions, memes, whatever it takes. Just make sure that you do it. Best of luck as you edit and if you need help, check our pinned video.
