Welcome back to my touring the suburb series where we're back in this Texas Lake community with super cool homes like this one that has a built-in apartment with a separate entrance, different set of lock, full living space, full kitchen, of course, large bedroom with a walk-in closet and a full bath. The builder calls this a next gen home. And design this space to be an indoor suite if you ever have family move in or just stay for long periods of time. This way they have their own door to enter the main house, but you can lock it from your if you want to keep them out. So if your family moves in or you just have a friend that needs a place to crash for less, charging them a small amount of rent could help you pay your mortgage.
