I'm going to share with you guys my exact camera settings so that you can get amazing quality videos like this. I already made a video about my lighting and filming setup so if you want to watch that it's pinned on my page. So the camera that I use for all of my content creation is the Sony ZV-E10 and I use the kit lens which is the lens that comes with the camera. Mind you some of the actual filming settings may change based on your lighting and filming setup but these are my specs. I film all of my footage in 4K so you're going to want to go to file format and choose XAVC S 4K. You can shoot in HD if you want smaller file sizes but I prefer 4K. Shooting in 4K is the reason why I can punch in and zoom in so much in my footage and it doesn't give you a worse quality if that makes sense. From here you're going to go back into record settings and this is where you're going to choose your frame rate as well as your bit rate. You're going to see two options between 30p and 24p and that's going to be your frame rate. I like to shoot in 24p because that is the most natural feeling to the eye but you can choose whatever you prefer as long as it says 100M on the side. So I feel like this is a good part to mention that I do have a degree in media production but in terms of your bit rate just so that we don't get too crazy or in depth about it the bit rate is how much information goes into one second of filming. The higher the bit rate the higher the quality. Specifically for me I like choosing 24 frames per second as a 100M bit rate. Again I am very good at cameras and camera tech but specifically for me I like to shoot everything in manual just because I want control of every single part of my camera settings. However if you're not very savvy with the camera then you can choose intelligent auto and that's going to adjust your aperture, your ISO, your shutter speed all for you. If you're filming a sit down video with controlled lighting not using natural lighting I would totally recommend using manual settings. First things first I like to adjust my shutter speed and now the rule of thumb is that your shutter speed should be double your frame rate. So if you chose 24 frames per second your shutter speed will be one over 50 and if you chose 30 your shutter speed would be one over 60. For me specifically I'm using one over 50. Next step you're going to adjust your aperture which can be controlled by this wheel at the top. Another rule of thumb is just to keep it as low as your lens will allow you so I'm using a 3.5. This is going to vary based off of your lens and you can adjust this to get that really cool blurred background effect. And now last step is your ISO and that's basically going to control how bright your footage is. I like to start at 100 or the lowest that your camera can allow you and if you have LED lights or if you have an actual camera setup you're going to want to adjust your lights either dim them or make them brighter based off of what looks good at 100 ISO. And I can see that things are blown out based off of the zebra that I have set up on my camera. This is the part that's going to be a little more customizable based off of your lighting setup if you're doing natural lighting, if you're outside, if you have a filming setup like I do it just depends on what your situation is. The ISO is going to be like your last line of defense if you can't control the lighting around you this is what you can use to make your footage either brighter or darker. And yeah those are basically my camera setups to get the best quality footage as I can. I love this camera so much it's very lightweight, very easy to travel with and it also gives me just such amazing quality. I also love that even though it's a small camera I can replace the lens so you can kind of have a little more creativity with that. I know this was a super long video but I wanted to make it as detailed as possible for you guys and I hope this helps.
